VICTORIAN TERRACED HOUSE
Situated in London, this terraced house, built in 1882, underwent a full refurbishment, including the replacement of 16 aging sash windows that had deteriorated over time and were no longer functional for daily use.
The homeowners reached out to Roseview for expert guidance and explored the models within our Rose Collection. After reviewing the collection, they chose Ultimate Rose, which combines timeless design and advanced manufacturing techniques, to create an authentic look that is virtually indistinguishable from the original timber sash windows when viewed from the street.
To preserve the home’s historical appeal, the new uPVC sash windows matched the original sightlines, an important detail for the homeowners. The windows also incorporated elements to replicate the originals, such as Edwardian-style astragal bars, traditional etched glass, and unequal sash splits.
The original colour was also matched with a custom RAL colour, and to further preserve the original aesthetic, they encapsulated the original stained glass leaded lights into the new glass units on certain key windows.
Beyond aesthetics, the Ultimate Rose was chosen over real timber for its maintenance-free appeal, offering a long-lasting, authentic solution that enhances both functionality and style.
